A Stitches Kind of Weekend
I had a great weekend at Stitches South 2014. We moved to a new venue this year, the Georgia International Convention Center, and I liked it just fine.

We were right next to the airport, but the buildings were so well shielded that we did not hear the airplanes at all except outside.
Plenty of room, easy to get to from the airport, and a host of other advantages. The weather was lovely, so the fact that the hotel is across the street from the convention center made me happy. I got to see the sun and breathe some fresh air every day, which sometimes doesn’t actually happen at a Stitches event.

Wisteria seen on my walk with bestie Beth Whiteside, in full bloom and gorgeous.
Classes were stellar, students were amazing, and we got some great work done for EduKnit.

Daniel Yuhas, Jill Bigelow Suttell and Gwen after we recorded an interview for EduKnit. So fun to know such talented people!
I loved meeting Karen, Julia, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, (not a typo, I’ve never met 3 other people with my same name in a single weekend so it mattered to me) and so many others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming to my classes at Stitches South 2014!
When are you coming to meet us at a Stitches event? Hmm? Hmm?
