Being Grateful

In the US, today is Thanksgiving. For the Jewish community it is also the beginning of Hanukkah. Apparently another 70,000 years will pass before these events share the same date again.

We won’t be having our feast until Saturday, but I am still enjoying the day. Although I strive to be grateful every day (I have much to be grateful for), having a day set aside is a good thing. It helps us be focused and mindful about our abundance in whatever form it takes. One of the things I am most grateful for is my world of knitting. The students I meet, the friendships that I have formed, the opportunities this craft has afforded me. And for you our readers…for all of these things I am grateful.  Enjoy your holiday!
